A couple of days ago, after a series of speculations, the sequel to the 2002 thriller Aankhen was announced with much fanfare. While a few names from the older star cast have been retained, some new ones too were added and one amongst them was Ileana D'cruz.
Producer Gaurang Doshi and the others claimed that Ileana D'cruz has been signed as the other leading lady besides South actress Regina Cassandra. However, recently it has been revealed that Ileana was merely approached for the film but the actress never signed on the dotted line. From what we hear, the announcement of her being a part of the film was made without her consent and hence the miffed actress has now even decided to take legal action against the makers. On the other hand, while actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Arshad Warsi were present at the event, Arjun Rampal too confirmed his presence in the film through a video message. However, Ileana wasn't present at the event. In fact, it is being said that the actress was in for a shock when she received several messages and calls congratulating her for the film.
Ileana D'cruz's spokesperson asserts that the actress indeed is not doing the film and we hear that the actress is quite upset with the way the makers' decided to use her name in the film.
