Movie Review: Ra.One

The wait is finally over, and India’s and Shah Rukh Khan’s most ambitious project Ra. One has hit the screen. The question that is on everyone’s mind is will it justify its extensive publicity, will the movie have soul enough to create box office magic, will Shah Rukh Khan join the 100 crore club with Ra. One?

The Answer to all the aforementioned questions is a definite yes. Ra.One not only entertains, it also mesmerizes. There are numerous sequences that will make the audience in the halls stand up and clap. The songs as we all know are a rage already especially Chammak Chhallo and Criminal.

Special mention should be made about the fantastic never seen before Visual effects of the movie. Shah Rukh Khan has spent a fortune and roped in some of the best technicians from all over the globe and it shows in the movie.

RA.ONE is the most ambitious, most expensive and the most technologically complex Hindi film ever made. It pushes the envelope further. It’s not merely a film, but an experience, an event. The chase sequence, when Ra.One finally zeroes on Lucifer and the subsequent ‘entry’ of the superhero is awe-inspiring. The train sequence in the second hour is exceptional and a cinematic feat.

The portion of the movie that stands out is the half an hour prior to the interval. Those 30 mins will engross you and keep you glued and each scene will leave you spellbound.

If we talk about performances, Shah Rukh Khan once again proves that he is the Badshah of bollywood. Kareena Kapoor is a pure delight to watch. She handles the emotional and the light moments with ease, Arjun Rampal is brilliant. His Portrayal of Ra.One proves how far he has come as an actor and his maturity. But the surprise package of the movie is Armaan Verma, The kid who plays the role of Shah Rukh Khan’s son in the movie. The kid strikes gold on screen and stands shoulder to shoulder with SRK and Kareena all through the film and delivers a super-confident performance.

The sum it up, Ra.One is movie that will go on to become a trend setter and with it rewrite the box office history of Indian Cinema. It has the word blockbuster written all over it. Don’t Miss it
