Irfan Khan of Toronto arrested for murder
The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a homicide investigation.
On Friday, March 10, 2023, at 1:02 p.m., police responded to a medical call alongside paramedic and fire services personnel in the Sheppard Ave East and Kingston Road area.
It is alleged that:
- officers located a woman suffering from stab wounds
- the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene
The victim was identified as Saima Khalid, 50, of Toronto.
On Friday, March 10, 2023, Irfan Khan, 54, of Toronto was arrested. He has been charged with:
- Second Degree Murder
He was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10 a.m. in Courtroom 206.
