MY FAVOURITE DISH

I look forward to indulging in the dosas prepared by my mom. Sushi is something that I really love; it’s not only tasty but also healthy.

I LIKE TO EAT AT

I simply enjoy eating at Puro Bar and Kitchen in Bandra .

BEST MEAL IVE EVER HAD:

I was in Greece and I was missing Indian food. Though the cuisine served there is brilliant, the Indian tadka is something that just spices the food. I was craving for that, so I was surprised when I visited a friends place and they served desi khana. Despite being full, I wanted to eat more — dal, paneer and parathas!

MY FAVOURED CUISINE:

It has to be Indian. Otherwise, Mexican, Italian, Continental is something I really love. But Indian food is something I cant stay without. Given an option to choose just one cuisine for the rest of my life, it has to be authentic Indian.

NON-FOOD PASSIONS:

Yoga keeps me fit. I enjoy different genres of music and of course, I indulge in shopping. When Im travelling, I cant keep my hands off books. Currently, I am engrossed in Mcmafia, a book by Misha Glenny.

MY FAVOURITE RECIPE:

I simply love Smoked Salmon Gateaux.

SERVES 4

INGREDIENTS

Smoked salmon, sliced: 500gm ; Avocado: 150gm (ripe, peeled and de-seeded ) ; Chopped onion: 2 tbsp ; Tomato, ripe: one (finely chopped) ; Chopped coriander: 1tbsp ; Lime juice: 1tsp ; Salt to taste ; Pepper to taste ; Cumin powder: a big pinch

Preparation time : 10 minutes

METHOD

Mash/finely chopped avocado in a bowl, add onion, coriander, salt, pepper, lime juice, chopped tomato and cumin powder and mix well.
Layer the salmon slices in a two-inch diameter round ring, spoon the guacamole over the layered salmon.
Garnish with dil oil.
