Ingredients :
1 cup toovar dal
2 tsp urad dal
2 tsp dhania
¼ tsp pepper
¼ cut coconut
¼ tsp mustard
¼ tsp turmeric
1 tsp gud
2 tsp tamarind paste
a small pinch hing
1 tsp salt to taste
4 bittergourd, chopped
½ cup channa
a few curry leaves
Method :
Soak channa over night and keep them aside.
Cook toovar dal and turmeric with extra water and separate the two, and keep them aside.
Sauté urad dal, dhania, red chilles, and pepper. Wet grind this mixture with coconut.
Sauté bittergourd, green chilles, curry leaves, turmeric, and salt in little oil.
Add channa, gud, tamarind paste, and toovar dal water to this and allow it to cook.
Now put the ground mixture, toovar dal and cook until the flavour comes
out.
