Miley Cyrus reveals inspiration behind track River
Before the release of her album “Endless Summer Vacation,” Miley Cyrus shared insight into the inspiration behind her upcoming single, “River.” In a clip from her Disney+ special, “Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions),” the 30-year-old singer revealed that the song was inspired by a challenging time in her personal and emotional life.
She explained that her songs often evolve, and while “River” began as a reflection of a difficult period, it eventually transformed into a song about love. Cyrus also joked about the explicit nature of the song’s subject matter.
Earlier this week, the singer teased “River” with a black-and-white teaser featuring herself blowing in the wind as the song’s name appeared on screen. “Endless Summer Vacation” is described as a tribute to L.A. and Cyrus’ newfound confidence through her focus on mental and physical well-being.
