Pilgrims from Nzara, Naandi, Nagero, Rii-Yubu, Namaku, Ibba, Rimenze and Maridi parishes are pitching camp at the holy place to pray for among others people living with HIV/AIDS.

Bishop Hiiboro urged the faithful to pray for HIV/AIDS and ask God to strengthen their faith and bless them with the virtue of humility.

“I want to urge all of us here to put more effort to pray for the people living with HIV,” said Hiiboro

He warned against stigmatization of people living with HIV/AIDS.

The Bishop urged the congregation to bring more food to support those who are going to stay at Mupoi till Christmas day. Tombura County Commissioner, Charles Babiro Gbamisi and other county officials attended the prayer.

According a reporter of Anisa Radio, some unexpected heavy downpour after Sunday Prayers destroyed some food stuff of the pilgrims who have pitched camp there.

Fr. Elario Zambakari has since requested for urgent medical supply from Tombura town centre to treat children affected by the rains.
