The unnamed man was arrested in Jaw main market with amount the money in 100 notes. He said he got the money from the black market money changers in Wau town.

The security personnel who did not identify himself to the media said they are now holding the man for investigation on how he got such amount of money.

The suspect is said to be an employee of World Vision working in Warrap state who claimed to have come to the black market with US dollars.

In August last year, state authorities detained four men two Sudanese nationals one Kenyan and one Ethiopian for using fake money in the market.

A similar case was reported in Mapel town of Jur River County where three South Sudanese were arrested for the same offence.
