The officials revealed that the project, which starts this month of January 2015 and is expected to end early February 2016, benefits 7 out of 10 states in the Republic ofSouth Sudan as the other three Unity, Upper Nile and Jonglei States are experiencing the ongoing conflict. 

The EU’s Technical Advisory team leader Elvis Walemba said the project aims to provide technical advice infinancial management and support payroll system in the young nation.

The country transfer management committee especially the financial and payroll Public servants of the government are the project’s major targets.

The state Deputy Governor Jerome Gama Surur welcomed the project as he registered cordial appreciation to the EU leadership. 

He noted that the project is important because it will help eradicate hidden ghost names in the stategovernment payroll.

Attending the launch, were key top leaders from Local Government, Education, Health, Finance and Physical Infrastructure ministries including the state eight counties’ Commissioners.
