Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS YeddyurappaKarnataka’s former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa’s bail plea will be heard by the Karnataka High Court today. After being arrested for alleged corruption cases on October 15th where he was sent to judicial custody by the Special Lokayukta (ombudsman) Court Judge NK Sudhindra Rao in two of the five corruption and illegal land deal cases against him, Yeddyurappa filed for bail on 17th October.

Justice BV Pinto of the high court will resume hearing the arguments for and against bail for Yeddyurappa. 

After his arrest on the evening of October 15th, he stayed in Parappana Agrahara jail only for a couple of hours before being shifted to the government-run Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research early Sunday after he complained of chest pain, From there, Yeddyurappa was moved to Victoria Hospital, also government-run, on the ground that he was suffering from high blood pressure and other ailments. 

Yeddyurappa was sent back to jail on Wednesday morning after getting a clearance from Victoria Hospital. Yeddyurappa, his two sons BY Raghavendra and BY Vijayendra and his son in law were charged by advocates Sirajin Bhasha and NK Balaraj on accounts of conspiracy to free government land from official control, a process called denotification, in return for monetary gains.
