The Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, this Monday finally made his most controversial landing in Pakistan beginning with the plane that was diverted after taking several rounds over Islamabad to Lahore where Dr. Qadri was informed to get off.
Before his visit, Dr Qadri’s had Tweeted he’s coming to Pakistan to eliminate terrorism, bring peace, true democracy and social economic justice to the poor and that if the government ever tried to assassinate him upon his return to Pakistan he urges the nation NOT to do his Janaza until they bring the Revolution. As Dr. Qadri’s plane landed in Lahore, he refused to get off until the Pakistani Army provided him security. After hours of waiting, the government finally sent in the Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar to ask the leader to get off under his assurance that he will provide him full security. Dr Qadri finally got out of the airport, with Governor Sarwar and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML_Q) Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on his both sides.
From airport, Dr. Qadri made his journey to Jinnah Hospital before going to his house, to inquire after the health of his followers under treatment for the injuries inflicted by Punjab police on June 17. Holding Sharif brothers responsible for the deaths of PAT workers in Model Town, Qadri dubbed Nawaz and Shahbaz as “Hitler and Mussolini” respectively. “I will revenge In sha Allah. I will revenge for the labourers, helpless, poor and martyrs,” he talking to media at the hospital.
