More arrests made in the murder of Isschan Nicholls in London, England

Detectives have today, Wednesday 8 September, arrested four male teenagers and rearrested a fifth in connection with the murder of Isschan Nicholls, 18, in Bow.

[M] 18yrs, [N] 18yrs, [O] 17yrs, [P] 17yrs are currently in custody at a east London police station, along with [L] a 19-year-old man, who has been rearrested in connection with the investigation.

Police were called at approximately 21.10 on Wednesday 13 January to reports of a fight involving a group of approximately 15 people in Parnell Road E3.

Officers discovered two male teenagers nearby suffering from stab wounds. Both were taken to Royal London Hospital.

Isschan Nicholls, 18, of Poplar E14 died early on 15 January. A post-mortem examination gave cause of death as stab wounds to the abdomen and thigh.

The second victim, aged 17, was treated and discharged.

Isschan Nicholls was attacked by a group of up to 15 youths who entered Parnell Road via Lefevre Walk.

The fight involved weapons including baseball bats and pieces of wood.

To date a total of 16 people aged 15 to 42 have been arrested in connection with the investigation.

Nine people [A/B/C/D/E/I/J/K/L] were released with no further action taken in May, whilst three others [F/G/H] were released with no further action taken in February.

Four others arrested today [M/N/O/P] remain in custody, alongside [L] who has been rearrested in connection with the investigation.
