The National Lottery has announced that this weekend’s Lotto jackpot winning ticket of more than €7.3 million was purchased in south Dublin. The agency revealed that the winning numbers were 7, 26, 34, 39, 41, 42, 31 and the lucky winner bought the ticket on Tuesday, September 15th, at Supervalu, Killiney Shopping Centre, Rochestown Avenue, Dun Laoghaire Co. Dublin.

The operations manager at the supermarket, Shane Rushe, claims that there is a lot of speculation and curiosity among the shoppers and staff at the busy supermarket but nobody has come to claim the prize so far. He alleged that there was a lot of excitement when news broke at the store. Rushe stated that “there is a great buzz around the shop this morning, everyone wondering who it was but there is no ideas, no names have come up yet.” He claimed to have only learned about the winning lotto ticket when the media contacted him.

This is the first time that the store has had a big winner and now lotto players are rushing up to the draw because of the size of the jackpot. Mr Rushe alleged that “there’s lots of speculation about the winner and everyone is hoping it’s themselves. I’m disappointed I didn’t buy a ticket myself.” Moreover, the store is now entitled to receive a bonus payment for having sold the winning ticket but Mr Rushe said he is not aware at this stage how much that would be. The winner of the Lotto has 90 days to claim the prize.
