The two culprits had earlier forced their way into the residence while the elderly victim was sleeping and they stole and removed personal valuables.
After stealing and removing the valuables from the home, the culprits decided to return to the residence and wake-up the elderly woman. Once awake, the elderly woman was confronted by the two masked culprits and threatened with death if she didn’t disclose personal financial information.
The elderly woman managed to separate herself from the two culprits and secured herself in the bedroom. The culprits ripped the phone from the wall and kicked the bedroom door in an attempt to get at the elderly woman but were unsuccessful. The culprits eventually fled on foot. The elderly woman suffered minor injuries to her hands and arms and was distraught and visibly shaken when police arrived.
