Vancouver Police are searching for a suspect after a brazen daytime home invasion on Vancouver’s Westside. Two people in the home at the time of the incident were not seriously injured.

Shortly before 12:30 p.m. on May 25, a man wearing a construction vest and hard hat knocked at the door of a home in the 4500 block of NW Marine Drive posing as a utility company employee.

When he was asked for identification, the man forced his way into the home and attempted to grab one of the victims. She was able to break free and escape from the residence along with a second woman who was able to contact 9-1-1.

Police and K9 teams flooded the area searching for the suspect and any discarded evidence, however, the man was not located.

The suspect is white, 25 to 30 years of age, 5’8″, 155 lbs., and he has blonde hair. He was wearing a reflective construction vest, hard hat, tan pants, black top and sun glasses.

At this early stage, investigators believe this is an isolated incident and are working to determine the reason this particular home was targeted.
