The fatal shooting of a man at 7610 Heneford about 11 p.m. on Sunday (May 29) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.The deceased male, Mario Fuentes, 48, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Another male, Anselmo Enriquez Rodriguez (H/m, DOB: 4-21-52), is charged with tampering/fabricating evidence in the 230th State District Court in this case. A photo of Rodriguez is not for release at this time.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Semmelrock and Senior Police Officer C. Abbey reported:
Mr. Fuentes and Rodriguez were at a party at a mutual friend’s house at the above location. Both men were looking at two pistols when one of them discharged and struck Fuentes. Fuentes was then taken to the hospital where he later died.
The investigation is continuing.
