Police investigating sudden death of elderly Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska couple

Members of the District 10 RCMP are investigating the sudden deaths of two people from Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska.

On Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at around 1:30 p.m., police responded to a residence on rue Principale in Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, after a family member had expressed concern at not hearing from the residents in several days.

Upon arrival, officers found the bodies of a man and a woman in their sixties. They have been identified as 63-year-old Roger Moreau and 64-year-old Solange Moreau.

Members of the District 10 RCMP and the J Division Major Crime Unit are investigating. The RCMP believe this was an isolated incident and that no third party was involved.

Autopsies are scheduled to be performed to determine the cause of their deaths.
