A man has been charged in connection with the discovery last week of a 36-year-old woman’s body in an Edmonton hotel room.

42-year old Bradley Barton of Mississauga, Ontario has been charged with second degree murder. He was arrested in Calgary on Friday, June 24, 2011 and was brought back to Edmonton today.

The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Cindy Gladue.

Background:

Police received a call at 8 a.m. on June 22 about a female found deceased in a hotel suite at the Yellowhead Inn at 142 Street and Yellowhead Trail.

On Thursday, June 23, 2011 EPS Homicide Detectives, with the help of Edmonton’s Medical Examiner, determined that the death of the woman who was found deceased in an Edmonton hotel room on June 22 was a homicide.
