Elderly Toronto man Rosario Atzori charged with sexual assault

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in a sexual assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

– the accused approached women in the area of Albion Gardens Park and nearby neighbourhoods

– the accused would engage the women in conversation and then sexually assault them

– these offences took place during daylight hours

– the accused resides in the area

On Tuesday, July 12, 2011, Rosario Atzori, 77, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with two counts of Sexual Assault.

He is described as white, 5’8", 180 lbs., with brown eyes, short salt-and-pepper hair, with a receding hair line. He speaks with an Italian accent.

Police believe there may be other victims.
