Man charged with assault on Toronto Parking Officer

USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…On Thursday, July 14, 2011, at 2:35 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision in the College Street/Bellevue Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

– a TPS Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO) issued a ticket to an unlawfully parked vehicle,

– the driver of the vehicle left a nearby building and became upset with the PEO,

– the PEO rode away on his bicycle,

– the driver followed and struck the PEO with his vehicle, causing him to fall off his bicycle.

The PEO was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Roozbeh Nooriafshar, 28, of Oakville, has been charged with:

1) Dangerous Operation,
2) Assault with a Weapon.

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, room 111, at 11 a.m.
