At approximately 01:40 pm on July 20th, the St. Peter’s RCMP received a call of a burning vessel just off the Point Micheaud Beach, Point Michaud, N.S. Richmond County RCMP responded with the assistance of both the L’ardoise and St. Peter’s Volunteer Fire Departments. The preliminary investigation has revealed that this same vessel, the 12.7 metre Patricia Nicole, caught fire last night at approximately 04:22 am. All three men on board were safely rescued by a second fishing vessel. The RCMP, along with Transport Canada and the Coast Guard, continue to investigate the incident.
