Toronto police search for missing man Vernon Smitz

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing man.

Vernon Smitz, 78, was last seen on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at 7:20 p.m., in the Warden Avenue/Danforth Road area.

He is described as black, 5’10", medium build, balding, with grey short hair. He wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a plain white T-shirt, blue denim shorts, black socks and tan shoes.

Police are concerned for his safety.
