EPS Homicide Section detectives are releasing the name of the 30-year-old man who died after being stabbed on Thursday, July 28 at a downtown park.

Eric Larry Cardinal died as a result of a stab wound. The Medical Examiner’s Office made that determination on July 29th.

At approximately 9:20 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, police were called to an altercation at Mary Burlie Park around 97 Street and 105 Avenue. Two injured males were taken to hospital. One male succumbed to his injuries and the other was released from hospital and is not considered a suspect.
