Investigators have arrested a Courtice resident for child pornography offences following their investigation into child exploitation movies distributed online.
On Wednesday August 3, 2011, members of the DRPS Internet Child Exploitation Section (ICE) executed a search warrant at a residence on Firwood Avenue in Courtice in relation to a child pornography investigation. A computer was seized along with a number of storage devices containing child pornography. Members of the ICE section identified a male as being responsible for sharing child exploitation movies over the internet. The suspect was arrested without incident.
Robert James STANDEN, age 54, of Firwood Avenue in Courtice is charged with: Making Child Pornography Available x2 and Possession of Child Pornography. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
