On the last day of campaign, Liberal leader Dalton McGuinty made Windsor, Ont., his priority and started the day by stopping there. Escorted by local runners and CAW national president Ken Lewenza, McGuinty visited the Ford Centre for Excellence in Manufacturing at St.Clair College.

Also, he met with students and publicized his government’s investments in post-secondary education. The Liberals have pledged a 30 per cent refund on post-secondary tuition if they come to power after elections.

Moreover, McGuinty noted the party’s earlier investment in the Ford Centre of Excellence in Manufacturing. In the Q&A session with the media, McGuinty spoke to his party’s lead according to most recent Ipsos Reid poll that implies that Liberals have a strong lead.

McGuinty says he takes nothing for granted.

He said: “There’s a lot of time — game time left, so to speak — before the buzzer sounds. So we’re going to keep looking ahead, do the very best that we can, continue to invite Ontarians to help them understand that there’s only one party that has got your back in good times and in not so good times.”
