District 10 RCMP are investigating the death of 64-year-old Saint-André man. The man was reported missing to RCMP after he failed to return from an afternoon walk on December 18, 2011. The RCMP’s Police Dog Services was called and a Ground Search and Rescue team was assembled to help the search.
Members of the Ground Search and Rescue team found the man’s body near railroad tracks approximately two kilometres west of Grand Falls, in the early morning hours of December 19.
The RCMP investigation continues, but foul play is not suspected.
