On January 16, 2012 at 8 p.m., District 5 RCMP were notified that a 51-year-old man from Bouctouche had not returned to his residence when expected. The man was living at a special care home and required regular medication.
Areas where the man was known to frequent were searched but he was not found. On the morning of January 17, a witness had indicated they had seen the man in the Bouctouche Industrial Park area the previous night. An aerial search was conducted by the RCMP helicopter and the man was found deceased in a wooded area off the Industrial Road at around 10 a.m.
Foul play is not suspected. The name of the man is not being released at this time.
