The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing man.

On Thursday, January 5, 2012, the Toronto Police Service issued a news release requesting the public’s assistance locating a missing man.

Ajay Mathur, 20, was last seen on Friday, December 24, 2011, in the John Garland Boulevard/Martin Grove Road area, and was last spoken to over the phone on Saturday, December 30, 2011.

He recently arrived in Canada from India and is described as having a brown complexion, 5’10”, 161 lbs., clean−shaven, with brown eyes, and short black hair. He has large tattoos on each inner forearm.

Police have released a second photograph of Ajay Mathur.

Update: On Thursday, March 22, 2012, Niagara Parks Police Service with the Niagara Regional Police Service, located human remains in the Niagara River. The remains were identified as Ajay Mathur.

A post-mortem examination was completed. Foul play is not suspected.
