A large size black bear has been captured from the campus of the University of Colorado – Boulder after being seen wandering on the campus on Friday.

The bear was first seen roaming around the residence hall area of the campus before it climbed up the tree. A team from wildlife department was called in immediately for help. The team members arrived at the campus and informed that the bear is estimated to be of 90 kilograms. The bear had climbed way up in the tree which is why the wildlife office members had to tranquilize him up there and waited for a short while under the tree for the tranquilizer to work and the bear to fall down. They had meanwhile prepared for his fall.

According to the students on campus, the bear was on the campus for the first entire half of the day and had climbed almost 4.5m deep in the tree to hide. The officers from wildlife had shot two tranquilizers around 10 am with a huge gathering of students waiting for him to fall down safely. The bear rested on the mat for a while as students look his pictures with cell phones. He was put in a huge cage brought by the Department of Wildlife and taken away.
