The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit, with assistance from District 4, is currently investigating a sudden death that occurred overnight in the southeast.
At approximately 1:15 a.m., on Friday, May 25, 2012, police were called to the 4300 block of 19 Avenue S.E., for reports of an injured man in a vehicle. The man, believed to be in his 50s, was declared dead at the scene.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is currently assisting investigators in determining the man’s identity and the cause of death. An autopsy is scheduled for early next week, likely Monday, at which point further details about this incident will be released.
It’s not anticipated further details will be released today.
