Toronto police charge 86 men in a prostitution investigation

Officers from 54 Division’s Major Crime Unit and Community Response Unit have completed a three-day prostitution investigation.

It is alleged that:

– 86 men communicated with street prostitutes for sexual services, along Danforth Avenue, between Woodbine Avenue and Victoria Park Avenue.

The 86 men have been charged with:

1) Communicate for the Purpose of Prostitution,

It is further alleged that:

– one of the 86 men was also charged with Obstruct Police

– another of the 86 men was also charged with Fail to Comply with Probation,

– another of the 86 men was charged with Possession of Cocaine,

– another of the 86 men was charged with Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, three counts of Fail to Comply with a Recognizance.

The accused men are scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Thursday, June 3, 2010, room 505, at 2 p.m.
