The Hamilton Police Service has arrested and charged a Hamilton man alleged to be involved in making child pornography available on the Internet.
On December 17th, 2012 at approximately 3:30 P.M., members of the Hamilton Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, along with members of the Technological Crime Unit, Break, Enter, Auto Theft and Robbery (BEAR) Unit and patrol officers, executed a search warrant at a home on Sulmona Dr. near Rymal Rd., Hamilton after receiving information from the Halton Regional Police Service regarding an individual alleged to be sharing images of child pornography on the Internet.
Manuel Camara was in the home at the time of the search. He was arrested and is scheduled to appear for a Bail Hearing today.
Charged: Manuel Camara, 33 yrs. of Hamilton
Charges: Possession of Child Pornography x 4
Making Child Pornography Available x 3
Hamilton Police are continuing their investigation with a detailed forensic examination of the computers and devices seized from the residence.
