On December 21, 2012, the Grand Manan RCMP were advised by the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre that search activities for a 36-year-old fisherman from Grand Manan, who fell overboard while fishing lobster on December 20 in the Bay of Fundy had come to an end.
With the cessation of search activities, the RCMP is now investigating this as a missing person case while the Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the matter as a work related accident.
The name of the fisherman is not being released at this time until has family has been properly notified.
