The Lesbian and Gay Community will celebrate Pride Week with a weekend festival in the Church/Wellesley community, with a satellite location on the Queen’s Park North parkland. The road closure will begin on Friday, July 2, 2010, at 6 p.m. ending at 7 a.m., on Monday, July 5, 2010.

Beginning 6 p.m. on Friday, Church Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic, from the north side of Carlton Street to the south side of Hayden Street, closing Wellesley Street, from the east side of Yonge Street to Jarvis Street. Wellesley Street, from Queen’s Park Circle East to Queen’s Park Circle West, will also be closed.

When the full road closure is in effect, TTC buses will have no access to Wellesley Subway station. All buses will be re-routed.

Motorists may experience traffic delays over the course of the event.

This event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
