55 Division would like to advise those attending the Canada Day fire works display at Ashbridges Bay, that Lakeshore Boulevard East will be closed, from Woodbine Avenue to Carlaw Avenue, on Thursday, July 1, starting at 4 p.m. There is also the potential for other area roadways to be closed, as well.

"We would like to encourage everyone attending the event to take TTC, as there is minimal parking available and, should you park illegally, your vehicle will be ticketed and possibly towed away," said Const. Rob McDonald.

55 Division would also like to remind people that personal fireworks and alcohol are prohibited in public parks, as well as the beach, and anyone found in possession of these or any other illegal items, will have them seized and could face possible charges.

“This is a family friendly event and we are asking for the public’s assistance in continuing that tradition by not bringing prohibited items to the event,” McDonald said.
