Investigators are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection to a sexual assault of a sex trade worker in late May in Oshawa.

In late May, during the early evening hours, a 38-year-old sex trade worker was picked up by a male driver in a silver car on Centre Street, south of Fairbanks Drive near the Pinewood Centre in Oshawa. The victim was driven to a deserted area at the end of Albert Street, south of Bloor Street, where she was sexually assaulted, without consent. Following the sexual assault, the suspect drove her to the Street Side Inn on Simcoe Street and Avenue Road in Oshawa. The victim then reported the incident to police.

The suspect is described as: male, white; in his 50s, with piercing eyes and bags under his eyes; grey/brown short hair but partially balding; unshaven facial hair with a heavy build. He was wearing grey track pants and a grey T-shirt at the time of the assault.
