Police arrested two Oshawa males following a string of break-ins at commercial properties in Durham Region.

On Saturday July 24, 2010 at approximately 2 a.m. officers from East Division, while on routine patrol in Clarington, were flagged down by a store owner who advised his retail business had its front window broken and the owner was unsure if suspects were still at scene. Officers attended the business and searched with negative results. Both suspects were caught on surveillance camera outside the front door of the bakery moments before one of the suspects broke through the front door and entered the premises. The surveillance video also showed one of the suspect’s attempting to open the cash register before both males are seen fleeing the scene. Officers recognized both suspects as suspicious persons they had observed and interviewed minutes before.

The investigation revealed both suspects had been previously involved in several break and enter offences during the month of July at retail locations in Oshawa which included Mr. Sub on Ritson Road, Osso Electric and The Bakers Table on Bloor Street.
