The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a sexual assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
– a 53-year-old man posted an ad for a room for rent,
– a 16-year-old girl contacted the man who had identified himself as “Peter,”
– on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, the suspect picked up the girl at home,
– the suspect drove her to the house where she was sexually assaulted.
Petrus Zuidervaart, 53, of Toronto, is charged with:
1. Invitation to Sexual Touching,
2. Sexual Assault
He was scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Friday, August 20, 2010, 10 a.m., room 412.
Police believe there may be more victims.
