On August 31st, 2010 at approximately 6:00 p.m. SAUNDERS was located in the area of the 600 block of Dalhousie Boulevard.
Upon arrival officers learned that SAUNDERS had allegedly been attempting to break into a parked vehicle when he was observed by the vehicle’s owner. After a brief foot chase, the 39 year old owner apprehended SAUNDERS a short distance away and police were notified.
During the investigation SAUNDERS initially provided officers with a false name which caused them to enter into a subsequent investigation when SAUNDERS true identity came to light.
SAUNDERS has been detained in custody at the Winnipeg Remand Centre and is facing the following charges:
– Mischief Under $5,000
– Public Mischief- intent to cause other person to be suspect
– Possession of Break-in Instruments
