Carleton Place man Collin Monette charged in connection to a child luring investigation

Today, the Ottawa Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) arrested a Carleton Place man following a child luring investigation. 

The man contacted a police officer posing as a young teenage girl on a social media site. On March 23rd, the man made arrangements to meet with the young girl for a sexual encounter. Police officers arrested the man, at the pre-determined location. 

Collin Monette, 36 years old, of Carleton Place is charged with two counts of Computer contact with a person under 16 years of age and two counts of Computer contact with a person under 18 years of age for a sexual purpose. 

He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, March 25th for a bail hearing.
