Llamall Weeden and Jerone Parchment charged with firearm offences in Toronto

On Saturday, October 16, 2010, at 5:43 p.m., police responded to a call for the sound of gunshots in the King Street West/Tyndall Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

– a man and woman were walking northbound on Tyndall Avenue, south of King Street West,

– the accused approached the pair and pulled out a handgun,

– the victims ran northbound on Tyndall Avenue,

– the accused then fired several shots towards the pair, striking the 19-year-old man in the right shoulder and grazing the 26-year-old woman in the thigh,

– the accused then fled the area.

It is further alleged that:

– on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at 6:05 p.m., members of the Gun and Gang Task Force executed a search warrant at a Redfox Road/Reindeer Drive area home,

– police located a loaded semi-automatic handgun.

On Wednesday, October 20, 2010, Llamall Weeden, 19, of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with:

1) two counts of Attempted murder while using other firearm,
2) two counts of Pointing a firearm,
3) two counts of Discharge firearm endanger life,
4) Weapons Dangerous,
5) Unauthorized possession of a firearm,
6) Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition,
7) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized,
8) Possession of firearm obtained by the commission of an offence,
9) Firearm careless storage,
10) Careless Storage Ammunition,
11) Possession of firearm while prohibited,
12) Altering, defacing,or removing serial number on firearm,
13) Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device.

Jerone Parchment, 21, of Brampton, has been charged with:

1) Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition,
2) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized,
3) Possession of firearm obtained by the commission of an offence,
4) Firearm careless storage,
5) Careless Storage Ammunition,
6) Possession of firearm while prohibited,
7) Altering, defacing,or removing serial number on firearm,
8) Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device.

They were scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Thursday, October 21, 2010, room 101, at 10 a.m.
