On October 25, 2010, 43-year-old Charles William Pleasance of Saint John was found guilty of conspiring to traffic cocaine after a four-day trial. The charge stemmed from a lengthy joint forces drug investigation into organized drug trafficking carried out by the J Division RCMP Drug Section, Rothesay Regional Police Force and the Saint John City Police Force. A total of ten people were charged as part of this investigation, which concluded in February 2009.

Pleasance is scheduled to appear in the Saint John Court of Queens Bench for sentencing on December 6, 2010.
