Codiac Regional RCMP have arrested a Fredericton man in connection with an alleged kidnapping in Moncton.

RCMP received a complaint of a possible kidnapping on August 13, 2014 and shortly before 9:30am arrested a 25-year-old man in Centennial Park in Moncton. He was with a 19-year-old woman from Moncton at the time of the arrest. The woman was not injured. The man and woman know each other.

The man was arrested without incident.

He will be appearing in Moncton Provincial Court at 9:00am on August 14 to face charges of kidnapping with the use of a firearm and uttering threats.
