Hamilton Police Service ACTION Team officers arrested two males following a vehicle stop which resulted in the discovery a quantity of marihuana.

On Thursday October 28th, 2010, at approximately 9:30 p.m. two ACTION Team officers, stopped the suspect vehicle to investigate a Highway Traffic Act infraction. The passenger fled the vehicle, on foot, and was apprehended following a brief foot chase. Officers recovered a plastic bag containing 246 grams of marihuana, which the passenger was attempting to dispose of.

Arrested: George SNYDER (Driver), 35 years of St. Anns, Ontario.
Charges: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Fail to Comply Recognizance (2 Counts) is in custody awaiting his bail hearing.

The passenger, a 32 year old male from Hamilton, was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and released by Promise to Appear.
