Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau would like to alert the public and ask for assistance in identifying the person or persons responsible for a series of graffiti attacks on local places of worship.

Sometime between the evening hours of Sunday, October 31st and the morning of Monday November 1st, the suspect, or suspects, spray painted various offensive symbols and terms on the following places of worship;

· The Saint Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church

· The North Bramalea Presbyterian Church

· The Brampton Jamatkhana Ismaili (Prayer) Hall

All of the buildings are located in close proximity to each other, on North Park Drive.

Investigators believe that the same individual, or group of individuals, are responsible for all three incidents. Investigators also believe that the individual, or individuals, responsible for these acts are targeting places of worship in general, as opposed to specific religious or cultural groups.

Peel Regional Police would like to ask members of the public to be aware of this activity and to contact police if they see any individuals acting in a hostile or suspicious manner in the vicinity of any place of worship.
