Potential Sex Offender on the loose in Toronto

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an ongoing investigation regarding a potential sex offender.

It is alleged that:

– on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at approximately 6 p.m., a group of youths were walking near Withrow Park, in the Bain Avenue/Carlaw Avenue area, when they were followed by a man in his early 20s,

− while in the park, a girl in the group got separated from the others and was grabbed by the man, who was unsuccessful in his attempt to drag her away.

− the man then fled the area.

The suspect is described as having a light white complexion, 19-23, 5’10", 180-190 lbs., with a medium build and long, braided red hair. He was last seen wearing a black synthetic winter jacket, black cotton “hoodie” style sweater and black cotton track pants.
