On September 22nd, 2009 at approximately 6:00 am a suspect male attended to a convenience store located in the 1800 block of Main Street where he obtained a beverage and drank from it while walking around the store.

A short time later this male put the beverage down and allegedly produced a large butcher knife and confronted the 21 year old female clerk. The suspect demanded cigarettes and money to which the clerk complied and the male fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

As a result of the police investigation a DNA sample was obtained from a suspected male and was later matched to the DNA sample obtained from the beverage that had been left in the store.

On November 2nd, 2010, Christopher Bryan YETMAN, 22 years of Winnipeg, was arrested has been charged with Robbery with Weapon.
