USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…A 53-year-old man was arrested after an officer who was trying to arrest him was seriously injured by broken glass.

On Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at approximately 8:30 a.m., officers attended a Brock Street East address in Oshawa investigating stolen property. The suspect answered the door and denied involvement, but the officer spotted the stolen property inside and placed him under arrest. The suspect resisted and slammed the door on the officer. During the ensuing struggle, the officers arm was cut by broken glass in the door. He was rushed to a nearby hospital by another officer.

The officer was treated for a severe cut to his arm.

Additional officers arrived at the house and arrested the suspect without further incident.

Patrick DREYER, age 53, of Brock Street East in Oshawa, is charged with: Theft Under $5,000; Aggravated Assault; and Assault to Resist Arrest. He was later released on an Undertaking with conditions.
