The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Summerside Storm’s Stephen McDowell has been named Player of the Week for the week ending January 8, 2012.
McDowell joins Chris Cayole as Storm players who have received this honour this year.
McDowell, a 5’11” guard from Tennessee-Chattanooga, averaged 28.5 points per game in two Summerside contests; scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds in the Storm’s 119-104 victory over Moncton, and 29 points in a 106-98 road loss to the London Lightning.
