Men’s Singles expert, Guo Kai alarmed all the contestants of Li Ning China Open by overpowering Nan Wei in his opening match of qualifying round on November 13, 2012. However, the Chinese campaigner did not get victory easily as he had to sweat hard for three exhausting sets to register a favourable result of 21-14, 18-21 and 22-20 after 66 minutes long battle.
Indonesia’s experienced player, Belaetrix Manuputi proved her elevated craft in the arena when she put up strong show of top class badminton and remained successful in beating Russia’s Anastasia Chervaykova in qualifying round clash. The fourth seeded shuttler played with tremendous precision and remained successful in winning the battle in just 24 minutes on court in straight games with a total of 21-9 and 21-18.
The spirited Women’s Singles campaigner, Deng Xuan played flawless badminton and cast out Xue Yao to secure a main round as she wrapped this showdown in just two games which prolonged to 30 minutes before ending with 21-15 and 21-15 margin.
China’s Di Suo started her campaign in an amazing fashion as she showed impressive skills on court and toppled Russia’s Tatjana Bibik in Women’s Singles qualifying round. The in-form Suo cheered her home fans by putting up strong show of top class badminton and she did not face any problem in crushing her Russian rival in a dominating manner by taking just 31 minutes of the court time in straight sets with a dominating margin of 21-12 and 21-7.
